At the Farm Table Inn, we are a destination for our customers - whether they are coming for dinner experience or an overnight stay in the bed and breakfast. Part of this exceptional experience is the cleanliness of Bed and Breakfast and our restaurant which is why we are looking for someone who has a high standard of guest comfort.
Our ideal candidate must have the following:
Minimum one-year hospitality experience, either cleaning hotels, restaurants, Bed and Breakfast or Air BnB’s
Must be reliable
Attention to detail is a must.
Must be thorough and organized and professional.
Ability to work quickly and efficiently.
Strong time management skills
Must be able to take instruction well and then be able to work unsupervised.
Must have driver’s license.
Must be ok with farm animals as the ideal candidate will be working at a farm
Duties include:
Maintain the highest of standards in cleanliness and excellence
Monitor inventory levels of all linens, cleaning products, and consumable products as appropriate
Cleaning and sanitation of B and B rooms and Vacation Cottage, including bathrooms, stripping and setting beds, laundry, sweeping, washing floors, windows and more
Cleaning and sanitation of Dining Room and outside patio area/entrance including floors, tables, chairs, windows, walls, light fixtures, bathrooms, sweeping the patio and more
Washing dishes, as needed
All cleaning supplies supplied - we prefer to use eco friendly products as much as possible
Hours are part-time to start but could lead to full time hours. Shifts will vary and the ideal candidate must be available during the day, evenings, weekends and all long weekends.
Wage is $20 - $25 per hour, depending on experience

Part-time Dishwasher/Kitchen Helper

With Tips this position will pay between $20-22 and Hour easily. We are looking for a Dishwasher to join our team and help maintain the cleanliness of our kitchen. The successful candidate will be responsible for washing dishes, utensils, and other kitchen items, as well as keeping the kitchen area clean and organized. The ideal candidate will have experience in a similar role and will be able to work quickly and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
Clean and sanitize dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, and pans.
Operate dishwashing machines according to manufacturer's instructions.
Load and unload dishwashers.
Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Empty trash containers as needed.
Assist in the preparation of food items as needed.
Must be available to work weekends and holidays. This is a Thursday to Saturday position, but depending on special events, could also include Sundays or other days of the week.

Part-time Fine Dining Server
The Farm Table Inn is a destination experience located at Skutz Falls in the beautiful Cowichan region. Our guests come to explore the area and all our offerings in a personalized way that makes them want to return for another dining or overnight experience. We are looking for our next team member to assist us as a Fine Dining Server.
This is a serving position which could lead to supervisory duties. We are looking for someone who has these qualifications
Job requirements
-Minimum of 2 year of previous experience in serving in a fine dining atmosphere
-Front of house Supervisory or Management experience is an asset, but not required
-An appreciation for detail and a passion for excellence in customer services
-Serving it Right Certificate
-Knowledge of wine service and cocktails
-A professional and positive attitude and great conversational skills
-Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, and a passion for dealing with and connecting with others
-A willingness to be constantly challenged to grow with the team.
Responsibilities
-Ensure the Farm Table Inn standards are being adhered to with our service levels and abide by all our standards, policies and procedures.
-Serving tables and bartending up to 3 shifts a week. (Possibly more when there are special events)
-Knowledgeable about the menu and wine list that is offered, make specific recommendations and answer questions.
-Answer and recover negative feedback or guest concerns
- Assisting and working together with other serving staff as a team.
- Setting up dining room and bar for dinner
-Good working knowledge of the POS system and payment machines in order to provide efficient and accurate ordering and billing.
-Opening and closing duties and ensure that all duties are completed at the start and end of shifts.
-Handling customer purchases in our on-site Farm Store
-Handling restaurant reservations via phone, and handling inquiries about special events or B & B stays.
This is position is a Thursday to Saturday position, but may include other nights, such as Sunday nights for special events. This position includes working all long weekends and all holidays.
Wage 16.75 per hour but with wage and tip outs, it could total up to $45 per hour We offer a staff meal before every shift and a discount on meals and farm store items.
