Our Farm Store is permanently closed. - as announced on March 5 2024 on our website and on our social media sites BUT we have some Farm Table Food items listed on cow-op.ca - see details below

It’s with a heavy heart that we announce the permanent closing of our food & beverage portion of our business. While our Bed and Breakfast will continue to operate, our restaurant is permanently closed, and our Farm Store will be permanently closed on March 16th, 2024.

Thank you to our customers, partners, and the community for your love, support, and loyalty throughout this farm to table journey.  While this may be a shock and disappointment, please note that for us, it is a much-needed change. We have taken this adventure as far as we can go – from a place that needed so much TLC to a magical farm that held many dinners, brunches, weddings, Christmas parties, special events and made many memories for our customers and our staff. We are very grateful for all these wonderful times.

And boy, what an amazing ride this has been! Kinda like a roller coaster with lots of ups and downs.  😊

We had dived into 2020, our third year in business, and we were so excited that this was going to be our year! Then the world stopped with the pandemic, and we managed to survive, but not without many challenges. Those challenges have continued and with the current economy, rising food and insurance costs, staffing issues, etc, it’s just too difficult to sustain.   We have been told and see for ourselves that inflation, payroll expense, insurance, cost of goods and taxes will continue to rise this year. We cannot continue to operate our business without personal financial collapse.  We have seen little to no help or concern from all levels of government and frankly feel that they have no plan to make it better in the future. It’s tough to be a small business owner these days and we encourage you to please continue to support and shop locally. Small businesses are the cornerstone of our communities.

We would like to thank our incredible and dedicated staff that have helped us create such a welcoming, warm, and popular destination experience. Without them, none of this would have been possible.

Our property has been listed for sale again, which includes the business this time. We hope that we find someone who sees the potential, who sees the beauty in our property, just like we did when we first drove up the driveway with our realtor 8 years ago. It’s time for another entrepreneurial spirit to make new memories.  If not, then we really do have a magical place to call home 😊

In the meantime, we are still operating the Bed and Breakfast – so come stay with us!

If you have a gift certificate, please note that they are non-refundable and cannot be redeemed for cash. However, they can be used towards a stay in the B & B - please mention that you have one at time of booking.

Once again, thank you from the bottom of our hearts for being a part of this journey with us.

- George and Evelyn and the welcoming committee -Leeroy, Oliver, Bruce and all the chickens and ducks.
